If this Campag BB axle Titanium?

Hi all, I have just removed this BB axle from a Dave Yates Steel frame, I would think late 80s. I was struck by the complete lack of corrosion, and the fact it's hollow. Is this a Titanium axle? Any help gratefully received

What in the name of Italian fancy pants if going on here?

Thank you all. Was it purely a Simplex idea rather than a ' standard' that never really took off?

What in the name of Italian fancy pants if going on here?

Does anybody know anything about this front derailleur fitting? I've never seen anything like it. From a Battaglin frame, early 80's I think but could be late 70s maybe. I do have a Simplex mech that came with it but have never seen another mech that would fit it, or even know what to search...

Euskaltel Orbea -circa 2002 I'm guessing

Hi, have just built this up. Frame& forks cheap from eBay, the rest from my parts bin. Deddaccia Force aluminium tubing, shaped like a 4 pointed star, is this what Orbea termed their. ' Lobular' tubing? I know they are currently unfashionable but I love alloy race frames and have always...

For Sale SOLD! Bottecchia SL early 90’s Campag mavic vittoria immaculate!

I love that colour, Raleigh used to do a Gran Sport (could well be wrong on the model) in a similar colour, like a metallic caramel

    Wanted Nimbus TT frame

If I'm thinking of the right thing there is one that has just sold on LFGSS. May be worth getting in touch as these things have a habit of falling through

    ALAN Carbon

That's a lovely bike. You could well be correct about it being the licensed version as it doesn't have the Alan engravings. I wasn't aware that such an arrangement existed. I don't suppose it matters enormously in the grand scheme of things. Ridden it through two years now, it's a lot tougher...

    Rossin Performance Internal Seat Clamp

Hi, have just bought a Rossin Performance frame and forks that is missing the recessed integrated seat clamp bolt. Does anybody know what they look like/ how they work? I'm not expecting to find one but I may be able to engineer one if I can find out what I need to make. Any help or photos...

    ALAN Carbon

Re: Hmmmm.... white lever hoods, now there's a thought. Completely agree about the Modolo calipers, they do look fantastic but they were slightly terrifying. The braking quality is so much better with modern calipers that it makes the whole experience of riding the bike much more fun. And...

    ALAN Carbon

Re: Here's a few more pics including the Modolo calipers I had on originally. The frame was £100 on eBay including Campag components and a Cinelli 2a. It was in a fairly ropey cosmetic condition but it cleaned up very easily. The original forks had been lost so replaced with modern steel. Black...

    ALAN Carbon

Possibly not one for the purists.A mix of different eras in the componentry, some of which I had already and some which I got for the bike. Apologies it's from the wrong side but you get the gist of the bike.
