How 'tight' a 10 are they? Usually wear a 10.5 Specialised mtb shoe.

Having sourced a lovely bike for my wife I am now on the hunt for a set of bar end shifters for a 7 spd gruppo. So 7/8 speed indexed or friction. WHY?

Upon stripping the bike I have just discovered that the weld between the seatpost and the seatstay yoke is almost completely cracked through! About 4mm on underside left. Damnit! Looks like she will go back in the shed until I decide what to do. Sorry guys. A recurring shoulder injury...
