So little of them about and in such demand due to the Klunker thing that it's a seller's market - you just got to hope to get lucky! (I better not tell you mine was £40 at my local recycling centre then!)
Anyone got any ideas what this is? Looks early 90s judging by the splatter paint but the stickers are an afterthought... XT Group etc so well specced... Frame number starts: M9KTxxxxx
Any help much appreciated...
I think you hit the nail on the head - looks like a 1988 SM700 - great condition as I didn't think it was that old!! Still got its Cannondale computer and toe straps in place! Many thanks!
Picked this up today... Any Cannondale guys know what model this is - one owner OG bike - Frame sticker says Alpine Series but no model number present? Deore gear group so I'm guessing a decent model level... Cheers
Just pulled this mid 90's Kona Cruiser out of storage to use as a bit of a 'Klunker-meets-Cruiser BMX' build... Got some old school 26" BMX forks, Nitto braced cruiser bars and a sprung Honey Brooks to start with... That's got to be the longest name frame transfer btw!
Here's old old 'Tracker' I've just acquired from an old chap in my village - built in the early 70s with the 'must-have' cowhorn handlebars, brooks and cycle speedway rear 26" knobbly... I'm going to leave it exactly as it is...
Yes, I'm learning that - any idea what sort of year range these were made like this?? Not sure why there is a second set of numbers either? Cheers, Marty
Thanks Spokesmann - no numbers on the drop-outs - just the the Zeus stampings front and rear. Wow, that's pretty! Wish mine was like that buy one day possibly? Cheers, Marty.
Hi All,
Got given a well made but tatty Carlton frameset tonight and have a little difficulty identifying it... Frame/fork number is 128226 and had chrome lugs, half chrome stays and forks and looks like it was Green with possibly an Orange head-tube - any ideas? Will add a few more pics...
