Thanks alot for the replies everyone, it's much appreciated :) So this leads me back to my original question. Does anyone have any idea which series of Shimano discs brakes are the latest ones to fit these forks, without needing adapters?

I have no idea. Complete noob here. Just was what I read from Google AI, which says using adapters can cause serious problems too, but from my experience of Google AI, it appears to talk complete nonsense most of the time

So, I'm reading that modern disc brakes aren't compatible with these older forks without adapters as these forks will have an old international standard mount. So now my question is what is the newest series of Shimano LX/XT or XTR disc brakes that will support these forks without serious hassle?

Noob here and thinking of buying some 1999 Rock Shox SID XC forks to go on the Rock Lobster Team Tig SL frame I've just bought. Just wanting to know if the disc mounts are compatible with more modern disc brakes or would I need to be looking at older disc brakes? Any advice would be much appreciated

Just seen these RaceFace Prodigy XC crank arms on eBay from 2002 and was wondering if anyone knows the quality of these and what Shimano equivalent would have been. Deore, LX, XT etc?

Hi. I'm looking at buying a pair of non STI XT M760 shifters on eBay and was just wanting to know if these do the double gear changes, or is that only with the STI versions with the brake levers integrated? Complete 38 year old noob here, who's been away from mountain biking since my teenager...
