Argh. Sorry about that. Just had another look and hoping I have done better job of blocking these ads. Best plan when such ads are seen is to PM a screenshot. I can then go through the Adsense back end and block entire networks.

Please be mindful the ads might continue to show for 24 hours…

If you have any evidence for this please share. The site utilises standard banner adverts and affiliate links to keep the lights on.

Thanks for flagging this up, I’ll revisit the banner ad settings at some point. Had previously requested some more ‘adult’ type content not be served.

Evening, not an unreasonable request. Sadly I do not think there is any way of customising the sidebar on a per user basis. To be fair as well the sidebar is only present on a subset of pages.

Not for now. There is some slightly different behaviour around reply and quotes since the update. Will have to dig into it.
