    Questions about Shimano 105 R7000 11s mechanical

I have a bit of a Frankenstein Shimano 105 R7000 11s mechanical set-up on my gravel bike. I have 105 shifters and derailleurs with with an 11-40 cassette and a 30-46 Shimano GRX crankset. The maximum for the 105 rear mech is supposed to be 34 teeth, I think, but it all seems to work without any...

I haven't posted for a while, so hello to everyone that remembers me. I still ride regularly, but haven't been using my MTBs much, so I've decided to have bit of a clear out. Mainly MTB parts, although some are non specific and there are a couple of road parts too. I hope this is OK, but I've...

Best method of cleaning white grips and saddles.

My brother has bought a very lightly used Hoy bicycle for my nephew for Christmas, like this one: I offered to give it a clean and a once-over. Now i've wiped of some dust and given the frame a polish it looks pretty much brand new with hardly a mark or any signs of use on it. However, the...

    Hypex UcD700HG with HxR power amplifiers 360w p/c £800.

1 Pair of Hypex UcD700HG with HxR mono power amplifiers. £800.00. I built these a few years back, but I'd really like something a bit smaller. The amps sound incredible, as much power as you could ever want for a domestic hi-fi, but absolutely crystal clear. If it's on the recording, these...

SPD shoes that you can actually walk in.

I currently use ye olde fashioned flat pedals with toe clips and straps. However, I'm thinking giving SPD pedals another go. I have a set of SPD pedals kicking aabout and I also have some SPD shoes. However, the shoes I have are totally hopeless off the bike, the soles are completely rigid...

    Tubeless tyres question.

This is my first try with tubeless tyres and they're road tubeless, 700 x 40c; both the tyres and the rims are designed for tubeless. I can get the tyres on the rims without any problem and I was then able to pump them up using just a track pump, no need for a special air tank or a compressor...

    Rockshox Reba 2007 service question.

I have a set of 2007 Rockshox Reba SL and I want to service them, however I'm struggling to find the right service kit. There seems to be two, one with the outer seals and foam rings, the other with a whole bunch of "O" rings and air valves. What should I get and any suggestions on where from?

Is it me or is it windier than it used to be?

Is my memory playing tricks on me, or is it more windy more often than when I was a teenager? I started cycling quite a lot when I was about 15, which would have been 1983, and I don't remember it being this windy so often.

I'm looking to make something like this: https://www.cyclewerks.co.nz/product/bo ... le-adaptor I can get hold of a small sheet of stainless steel, cut it out and drill all the relevant holes, what I'm not so sure about is being able to fold the sides, not neatly anyway. Also, how thick do...
