    Singlified Trek 4300 anno 2003, 19.5".     1x7/8/9, ramps or noramps on chainring?

    Does it matter? Will ramps kill puppys and/or kittens? Will I get any response if I say it's gonna hang on a taiwanese-made frame that's not exactly fillet brazed? Setup will be 1x7 or 1x8 with a suitable quality chain.

    Can anyone tell what model/year it is? Prob not original, seller says xt/lx components, sachs, diacompe, sun rims with xt hubs etc How much cash is needed to refresh the suspension on one of these? Elastomers/springs? Never had a full susser, so could be a fun project :)
