I have just managed to get hold of a 1995 LTS 2 in new condition which is now my new build. But I've noticed a number 7 stamped on the seat stay. I don't remember ever seeing it on my old LTS i had years ago. Does anyone know what this is and what it stands for? P.S has anyone fitted...

What is the difference between M950, M951 and M952 cranks? I know the year is different and the M952 is for a 9 speed cassette. Are they all the same shade of gray? Why do some look black in pics? Most of my group set is M950 so would like a set of cranks to match.

On a 1995 LTS the canti bosses are welded so you can not run V - brakes but can you fit maguras on there ok?

I've been looking at getting a LTS again. I'm after an early one 95/96 style frame but I've noticed that some people sell them saying "with v brake mounts" So my question is, are some LTS's only able to run canti's and not V-brakes or do they mean canti/V and not disc?

I've started a new build and have got hold of some XTR M950 shifter/leavers which are 8 speed can i use a M952 crank set and M952 rear mach with these shifters and a 8 speed cassette? or does it all have to be the same to work properly?
