    UK Sepsis Trust

Since April, Jack Peterson (who is local to me and well known in lots of cycling circles) has been riding around the entire coast of Great Britain on his bike, on his own with a tent. He has been doing this to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust. Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the...

    Casting Polyurethane For Replacement Elastomers?

Anyone tried to cast their own elastomers? Seems like plenty of people have done it to make custom engine mounts and suspension bushes. Other than the hardness, I'm not sure if all 2 pack polyurethane is the same and whether it is all suitable. Was going to get some of this for a play unless...

    Dynatech Team Frame?

Awful condition 2070 frame that needs saving . Wasn't it only the factory team frames that had 'Raleigh' on the downtube? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Retro-rare-Ra ... 258c1cd714

    Lightweight 1-1/8" Rigid Fork

Morning All, I'm after a decent light fork, something like the 750g Spinners and Marin Rockstars. Needs to be 1-1/8", either 165mm long threaded or 200mm threadless. Paint condition doesn't matter as long as it structurally good. What have you got? Phill

    Frame Blocks for Dent Removal

After dismally failing to freeze my frame to fix a squashed tube, I am after some 1-1/4" diameter frame blocks to try and roll it out. I can only find them in the US, does anyone know of a UK source, or is this a Job for Intrincycle?

    Powdercoat Dynatech / Bonded Frames

Has there ever been a definitive answer on whether it is ok to powdercoat Dynatech frames? My MT5 for example?

    Dynatech MT5 Painting Recommendations

Evening all, Time to get the winter project started. What is the recommended way to refinish my MT5? I have no idea how careful the painter needs to be to prevent any damage to the tubes and bonding. Any hints and tips for a quality Dynatech refurb will be gratefully received! Phill

Englund / Eko Total Air Carts Help Needed

Morning All, I have a set of Total Air carts in my Judys which hold air perfectly, but one of them is 'sticky' towards the beginning of its stroke. Does anyone have instructions as to how to get inside them? Thanks, Phil

    1 1/8" Quill Stem

Afternoon all, I'm looking for a mid to high end 1 1/8" quill stem 100 to 120mm long (no longer) 0 to 15 deg rise Silver or black Would prefer good condition or better, but don't really mind as long as it can be polished up or resprayed relatively easy. Don't care what make it is, was...

    Hope C2 Caliper

Morning All, The rear/inner half of my C2 caliper has corroded to the point where the seal is poking out! I think this half is always the same shape. I'd rather not have to buy a complete brake set, so does anyone have a caliper or back half going cheap? Cheers, Phill

    Brake Pivot Blanking Bolts

I'll be sticking discs on a frame with canti pivots soon, so want to replace them with blanking bolts. I remember that some companies (hope was one) sold bolts with an integrated hose guide to the bolt. For the life of me I can't seem to find any in stock anywhere and I don't think Hope make...

    New Wheels

OT-Ish Going to need some new wheels for my forthcoming modernised SC Tazmon. I'm using Goldtec hubs on Mavic X517 at the minute, which I built up around 10 years ago. The other new bits are tyres, forks, BB7 discs, low riser bars. So far nothing I have bought looks too out of place on a...

    Replica Decals

I know Gil is supposed to be the man for these things, but before I pester him does anyone know if he can create replacement stickers like these: They won't be lacquered over the top because they will be on a bare metal frame this time. Any recommendations for this work...

    Santa Cruz Tazmon

Bought this off the bay a couple of months back, hoping to rob the shock and rear disc mount off of it, and ride it whilst I refurbished my own Tazmon. The poor thing is such a wreck, so that plan went straight out the window. Now I am hoping to tart it up a bit into a useable 94-98 period...

    Modernising My SC Tazmon

So then, do I throw a heap of money at my Santa Cruz Tazmon on a paint job, new forks, shock, tyres, front disc brake and wheel? Or do I spend that cash on a decent modern FS bike? Is it better to modernise and use it, or leave it in all of its late 90's glory, in the shed getting...

Modern rear shocks in old frames

The rear shock in my SC Tazmon is on its last legs. Do I import a new Risse Genesis to replace the current one, or try to engineer all the bits I'd need to fit a modern shock in its place? Would I notice an increase in performance with a newer shock design?

    Any Front Wheel QR's

I can't find any old ones kicking about at home, so I'm after four front wheel QR's for a bike storage rack. Don't care what they are, or what condition, just want to pay as little as possible for them! Cheers, Phill
