My '92 Kona HeiHei - possibly one of the first in the UK back in the day.

A few years ago I bought this interesting old HeiHei (was imported for a well known UK MTB journo, and used to appear a lot in the mags.) and is a real survivor showing how good these early ti. bikes were, not a mark today still. deep cleaned and refitted with correct '92 period decals, and...

My lovely 19" (C-T) 1989 Pioneer is up for sale £650 collected from Kent (or £675 posted nationwide) - F&F only from £465 delivered Incredible survivor, as far as I know still in original paint, and is particularly outstanding in virtually un-marked condition. Wanted 1988 21" or 23" Muddy Fox Explorer / Trailblazer wanted for a friend.

F&F or complete project or finished restoration. There must be one out there somewhere. I have the 19" but a good friend had the 23" back in the day and is looking for another as a retro project in future. I wouldn't mind a 21" myself - as I always fancied having a go at a Trailblazer project...

My 19" 1988 Muddy Fox Explorer restoration.

from a £35 f&f in a bad way cosmetically (note the scorch mark from where I had to heat the frame to get the seized seat pin out) to a freshly powder-coated retro ride. Tough as old boots those bikes (Tange triple butted cro-mo) it clearly had a hard life but there wasn't a single dent in it -...

recently refreshed my 1983 Ritchey Timbercomp

I thought I would share my favourite early MTB - a Tom Ritchey built MTB from 1983 - probably not that many like it in the UK. Essentially its Shimano Deerhead group with early Mavic MTB rims and hubs. I fine and comfortable ride all these years on and still in its original paint and decals.
