Vintage 1992 Ritchey P-22 w/hydraulic aluminum Softride stem

Looking into selling my red P-22. Size is 18". Bought it (and the stem) from former Veteran World Champion Jim Sullivan in December 2010. It was barely ridden when I got it; since then, I've ridden a bit over 10,000kms on it, mostly on paved and gravel roads. I did a few local races on it too...

Do you guys ride/train/race on your vintage bikes?

I do. Nice vintage bikes are cool to look at, but they're even cooler to ride. :)

A little piece of advice needed regarding brake setup

Here's the situation: my '92 Ritchey P-22 comes with Deore XT 3x7 brake-shift levers and XT cantis. I don't like the performance of the cantis, so I'd like to switch to XT v-brakes. Now I know that the brake levers won't be compatible anymore. What should I do? In a perfect world, I'd like to...

    Rocky Mountain Transpo (1984)

Me and my dad's 1984 Rocky Mountain Transpo. Shimano Light Action group. The only non-stock parts are the tires and the Deore XT rear derailleur. Pretty cool bike, funky geometry, nice manganese fork. And while at it, the bike my Ritchey P-22 is going to replace: a 2006 Norco EXC 1.0 HT...

    A few days ago a P-22... today : a P-20!

Just got a killer deal on this beauty today: Now I don't know if I should swap frames (but I would need a suspension adjusted rigid fork - might be tough to find) and resell the P-22 frame, keep the P-22 bike and resell the P-20 frame or build around the P-20 frame and resell my P-22 bike...

    Backyard builders in the house?

Anyone has ever built frames here? Or parts? Back in 1992, when I was 16, I built a full suspension bike. The fork was Lawwill Leader-like and had 3 inches of travel using an old motorcycle shock (so coil+oil). But because of the lenght of the shock, I had to use... a BMX front wheel. Ha! And...

    Is it me or...

Let's face it: I hardly get excited anymore when I see new mountain bikes. Modern designs sure are efficient as hell, but they're not just as exciting to me as the bikes from the 80's and the 90's when all major makers and custom builders were exploring every possible way to build frames...

Just got it yesterday! Circa 1992. I'm going to make a few changes... -tires (vintage Ritchey Z-Max WCS / I'll put Continental Speed King tires in the meantime) -pedals (Crankbrothers Egg Beaters) -grips (Axiom Santoprene XC or vintage Ritchey WCS grips if I can find some) -saddle...

    Your bike history

I don't know if it's appropriate for this forum (I'm a newbie), but I'm curious to see if people here remember all the bikes they have owned so far... Here's my list... -red Supercycle tricycle (???) -green Supercycle bicycle with banana seat (???) -red Supercycle BMX (1985) -black...
