I have to replace the B tension spring in my XTR M950. Thanks to member Matttymm, who sent me one. I've had this problem before with other rear mechs. How do you wind the B tension plate back in with the spring without it distorting or scoring an ugly gouge across the mech?

I knackered the spring yesterday trying to reassemble the rear mech. They are a pain to get back in. Any spare ones? Thanks all

This chain came with either Dura Ace or XTR group set back around 1995. It was Shimano's flagship chain. Probably a long shot to find a New Old Stock one but you never know. A close alternative is the XT HG91 chain of the same era Both are all silver.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I have an 8 speed Micro Shift cassette. When I fit it to my hub, an 8 speed Ultegra hub, it rattles when the lock ring is tightened, so I put in a spacer that fitted fine. Now though, there is no chance the wheel will fit the frame without the cassette...

Any out there? NOS would be ideal. Thanks all

Does anyone know if I'm setting this up right? The front cable hanger is very slim and doesnt have the aperture for an adjustable barrell stop. So do I just run the cable through it with a ferrule? Sorry the pics are a bit out of focus...

I need to replace my headset bearings. They are FSA 1 1/2 bottom and 1 1/8 top For my Pinarello Mantha, which has the tapered conical head tube. There's plenty of Chinese stuff about, but I'd prefer a UK supplier or good Japan made bearings.

Not very retro I know, but I just noticed the jockey wheels are running with teeth that resemble tooth picks. I'm not sure what wheels will fit the X9. Anyone have the answer. BTW: The bike is a Pinarello Mantha 29. @15 years old now, so maybe it will be a retro classic soon.

Any 130mm or 135mm rear hubs. Screw on or Cassette. Anything over 28h as that's too light for me. No disc hubs or track. It's an ATB build. Full wheels considered and cassettes, cogs, skewers etc... Thanks all, you always deliver. 👍

I'm looking into tripple front mechs for my Robert's. Before mountain bike groupsets took over mid 80's, what was the quality like for tourers using a tripple chainset? I'm guessing the industry standard was 28.6 clamp diameter, which is fine for my frame. Any suggestions?

I'm just about to fit a TA bottom bracket. They are not sealed units, as you all know, I'm sure. To prevent ingress from inside the frame, does anyone have a DIY fix for a sheath? There are Tioga ones on Ebay (not cheap).
