Nice 1988-ish Nishiki Colorado. Portland, OR, USA

Unfortunately no closeup of the shifters, but nice Exage cranks, mechs and brakes (well, dunno what Ubrake it is). Looks great to boot. They're asking $90 but unless the market's changed it'll sit a couple days and bargaining could be easier by then...

    Panasonic Mountain Cat

Spotted another rare (to me) bike today and thought I'd share. I'm guessing early 1990s. Had 200gs mech hanging on it. The top tube boasts "All Aluminum". Panasonic Mountain Cat by Lester Of Puppets, on Flickr

GT Hybrid. Probably not what you're thinking.

Spotted this interesting specimen on the library's bike rack yesterday. I don't remember this model at all. I'm guessing late 80s. Back when hybrid bikes were often marketed as "cross bikes". 20" wheels, Ashtabula double crankset, BMX bars/stem/fork. I gotta see if I can catch the...

Another Lowend vintage gem. 1988 Giant Iguana.

This bike has a super short Top Tube. It's the only MTB I've been on which suffered from toe overlap! Fun ride and quite sprightly considering its immense weight. So much plastic, but it all performs pretty well. Probably the most attractive lowend crankset of all time...

    1991 GT Outpost

Brightest bike I've ever owned. Unfortunately the TT was a bit short for me and I couldn't imagine riding it without the matching stem so I sold it. You may wish to put on some sunglasses for this.... Front reflector wear reveals some yellow primer. Weird rubbery cover on the...

    1995 Novara Aspen from REI

Not a bad ride for less than 10 dollars US. Rear end feels a little dead so I kinda suspect Hi-Ten rear triangle. When I got her there was no rear derailer, so I put on a nearly dead Suntour XC Pro for shakedown runs. Stem was a little stubby for my tastes and I had to try out the...
