Any recommendations for getting a bike delivered

I’ve seen a bike that I quite like the look of, but it’s near York, and I’m near Reading. Has anyone used a company who maybe just puts the bike in a removals van or a man in a van who’ll carefully collect stuff and drop it off? Happy to pay a bit of a premium as the only other option I’ve got...

    Wanted Kona FutureShock Forks

Hey anybody looking to sell their Kona Futures Shocks? I've got a set but mysteriously they have a 1 1/4 steerer tube. Thinking it may be easier to source another set than go down the route of replacing the steerer in mine

Replacing steerer tube on Kona Futureshock

Is there anyone who can replace steerer tubes on old steel forks? It’s not a like-for-like swap. I picked up some Kona FututeShock fork and they have a 1 1/4” steerer tube, was not expecting to find they were 1 1/4 and I need a 1 1/8 to get them installed on my 1991 Explosif. Normally I’d just...

    1991 Kona Explosif 16”

Hi all. So here goes; don’t expect the most comprehensive build thread, but thought it might be nice to document the upgrades. Picked up a standard Kona Explosif 1991 16” the other day in great condition, other than the paint fade. It’s pretty original other than saddle, rear mech and a couple...

Wanted Kona impact headset 1 1/8th

Just got hold of a set of Futureshock forks but they're a 1 1/8th steerer as opposed to the 1" steerer of the Project Two's they're replacing on my 91 Explosif. Anybody have a 1 1/8th Impact Headset? Trying to keep things as original as possible.

Wanted Early to Mid Nineties 26.8 seatpost

Anybody selling a Syncros seatpost from early to mid nineties in 26.8 and at least 350 long? Other exotica between 1991 and 93 also considered :) Ideally in Black, silver also good, and possibly anodised blue/purple It's for a 1992 Kona Explosive; quite a small frame so the post needs to be...

Wanted WANTED Kona 1991 Velocity Stem 130mm

Has anybody got a black 130mm Velocity stem with somewhere between 0 and 10° rise in good/excellent condition? Also if you’re looking for different length I’ve got a 120mm with about 5° (excellent) and a 130mm with about 20° rise (needs refurb but no dents) Velocity stems in black which I could...

    Shimano MTB Groupset history.

So, I found this link which lists model numbers each year up until 2000. Does anybody have a list of groupset model numbers from y2000 to current? http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/Shimano ... psets_2000

Atlanta 96 wheels free hub compatibility

Hi I've got a set of Atlanta 96 wheels coming with 28hole Campy 8 speed hub. I see there are all sorts of issues with the Campag cassettes; my question is, is there a Shimano freehub that will fit the campy hub, allowing me to use 8/910 speed shimano cassettes? I'm running a 10sp Campag veloce...

Can anybody date this Colnago Dream frame?

Hi all, new to the forum and just bought the bike in the pics. I'm trying to work out year it was made; currently it's got a more modern campag groupset on it and I'm trying to get it back to the right spec for the year. I thought it was 2003 at first but the soft Art Deco paint is more like a...
