I'm looking into fitting a Recon U-turn ( 85 - 130 mm. of travel) to an older frame currently running a Manitou SX carbon (70mm. of travel). Is there a way to lower the fork from its lower setting of another 15 to 20 mm. in order to bring back the geometry to where it was?

I was thinking of changing the Mag 21 on my steel Stupjumper FS 1995. The Mag 21 has 40/50 mm. of travel ( around 2 inches ). Will a 70/80 mm. fork put too much stress on the frame?

Hi, I just bought a TI bar + stem. The bars ( Titec ) are supposed to be run with a shim. The shim seems to be made of some kind of alloy. Should I use anti seize to prevent the shim to become one with the bars and or the stem?

I recently bought a second hand 1995 Hei Hei that came with a Syncros stem. Today I noticed what seems to be a crack. I've drawn a red circle where the crack is. Is this an actual crack or is it just a superficial damage? Should I replace the stem? Bikenoob
