Does anyone know where I could get a pair of Sach grips like the ones in the pic below? I use Sachs Wavey shifters and have found that these work perfectly with them.
Alternatively what good grips are currently out there?
I recently bought a Shimano brake kit and it came with highly polished steel ferrules 12mm in length (on the left in the picture). I was looking to use these for the gears too, but there's not enough of them in the pack.
I tried to find some more on the internet and thought I had found them on...
Does anyone know if it's possible to take apart a set of LX brake cantilevers? I have cleaned an old set, but there is grit and muck in the spring mechanism that I would like to clean out and regrease but cannot get to it.
I am trying to fit a pair of LX cantis to a bike and haven't fit cantis for many years now. When the brake block is aligned and the nut tightened, the brake block is not fixed in place.
See pics below of the parts.
Any ideas?
Hello,
I need some cantilever mounting bolts, but the bike shops do not stock them anymore and I couldn't find any on ebay.
Does anyone have any?
Regards Trevor
I'm looking for a 15" bike for my son. Nothing too flashy, as it will probably get dinged and misused and poor old Dad will have to make it better again. Poss Kona Hahanna or similar.
Hello, I'm looking for a bike for my son who is growing up fast. He's 10 but has quite long legs. I was thinking of a 14" frame. Can anyone tell me what height a 14" bike would cover?
When riding your bike and you desire to come to a halt, please ensure that you use the brakes, located at the ends of the handlebars, rather than your elbow, which is located in the middle of your arm. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! ;)
I found a site and put it into my favourites, in order to get a pair of Orange E3 top tube stickers. Then my computer got virused and I had to wipe all of my faves with the browser, because that was infected. :x Now cannot find it again after much trying.
Can anyone help locate a UK supplier...
This is a feature from Mountainbike Pro dated January 1996 about 5 American frame builders.
Ross Schafer of Salsa Cycles
Chris DeKerf of DeKerf
Keith Bontrager of Bontrager
Chris Chance of Fat City Cycles
Rob Vandermark of Merlin Metalworks
Spot the shameless plugger!
Enjoy.
Not sure if i have posted this one before. Don't think I have.
Can anyone tell me what this is off? I found it in a tin of RC7 grease that came with a set of RC36 EVO forks and it puzzled the hell out of me.
This is the first bike I can remember having, a 3 geared Tri-ang Dragster (not my pic!). It was hidden in the cupboard at the top of the stairs and I accidentally found it a month before Christmas 1971 or 72. It was bought from the Post Office of all places and the old geezer who ran it showed...
When I get rid of some of the crud in the boxes, them bloody hanging baskets and get the gates fitted I will be able to fit another couple of bikes in. :D :D :D :D
Having said that 10 x 8 still isn't big enough...
Here is a review of the Klein Mantra Comp from the USA MTB mag Mountain Biking dated July 1998.
The gnarly old geezer on the bike is the way I look now, but inside i'm still 18...
Enjoy.
