The left pedal goes in the left crank, not the right one. That was very nearly a very bad (if not particularly expensive) mistake. JUST managed to save the crank by the skin of my teeth. It's only a '96 Alivio, but I'm going riding tomorrow.

Pulled these off my ASR140, I'm just too wide for 560mm bars. Both are steel, condition is fair with some rust and scratches, but nothing too visible. £10 posted, or £5 collected from just north of Bristol.
