SOLD The logos are still pretty crisp, but the clamp area would benefit from a good clean (although the stem covers the worst of it). The bends are marked from the levers, but nothing you'll notice once taped. There is a crack in the back of the shim: it was there when I bought them two years...

I'm considering a couple of wheelsets, both on 8 speed Campag hubs. In short, what is the difference between the two types of rim? Is one more robust/lighter etc than the other. When were they introduced: they are for a 1995/96 build. Many thanks.

Having re-invented myself as the "bike fairy", I have picked-up three folding bikes to give to non-cycling friends. They're all in roadworthy condition, but as they have chromed steel rims I would like to replace the front wheels with alloy rims. Being hub-geared it would be too expensive...

Stripping a frame, I've found that the steerer doesn't have a flat for a D shaped lockring, nor a slot for a tabbed one. The lockring I've removed has had the tab filed off. It's an Orbit America and the forks are original and it seems odd that a reputable manufacturer would do this...
