    Reynolds frame weight confusion

I have read the other older thread but I'm still confused- according to the Reynolds table a 531 SL frame is 1995gm (what size would they take that weight from?), presumably that is bare unpainted. My Woodrup 531 SL 57cm weighed today, including paint, both headset cups, seat post binder and a...

    Which mid 80s saddle?

I'm building up a mid 80s Woodrup 531 SL frame, I have acquired some bits for this job going back many years but never got around to taking it on, but now I have the time so I'm going to get a few last bits and sort it out. I very much like the old Engers period time trial machines before they...

    Campag L/H crank

Probably a bit of a long shot, but I have a R/H Pista crank that I fancy using on a build, so I could do with a Record style fluted L/H crank 172.5mm to match it if anyone has one?

    M B Dronfield 753R F+F

Selling up a project I was going to do that I no longer have the time for, other bits will be listed in another thread. Judging from the paintwork I'd guess this is a late 80s or early 90s frame, hand built by Vernon Barker of Dronfield, still going so you could phone him for any info...

    Reynolds 753R?

I know nothing about this tubeset, what does the R designate (road/race?) and how does it differ from plain 753? Is there anything to be aware of when considering a frame of this tubing? Cheers in advance.

    Timec?

May have just acquired a Timec BB, anybody know anything about them? Can't find much, my google fu is weak

    Early 90s parts?

I may have acquired a nice early 90s frame for resto, I have a 600 Ultegra groupset to go on it but what about other bits? I don't know what sort of 'bars are from that era, and what about mixing groupset components, is that a no-no? Only I have some nice Dura Ace hubs and I was thinking of...

Conundrum, can't decide what to do.

I'll try not to waffle on too long  Basically I only have room (and funds) for two bikes. Seeing as I'm sans auto, one of said bikes needs to fulfil the following roles: Commuter Shopper Cycle Camping All weather riding Day rides/Occasional Audax At present this is done by a...

    Shimano 600 brakes + others

1). I have a minty mint pair of Shimano 600 dual pivot Tricolour calipers with pads, they look like they've never been fitted or at the most fitted and used for not very long. £35 posted within UK. 2). Nervar chainset, 42/52 rings with loads of life left, 170mm cranks with standard 9/16...

    Peugeot Galibier

Just thought I'd start a thread off about my little project, unfortunately I don't have the budget for full NOS period parts (or patience to wait for them to turn up!) to go to town and make it perfect, so I'll have to cut a few corners. This is how it started, not too bad, certainly no...

    Peugeot, 531 or not?

I'm refurbing a late 80s Peugeot, the frame has a '531 butted frame tubes' sticker at the top of the down tube where it meets the head tube, it looks the same age and condition as the other decals on the bike and according to the Peugeot booklet from then 531 was an option with this model...

    Shimano 600, various.

I could do with the following, or similar alternatives, to finish off a nice late 80s Peugeot: Seatpost - 26.2mm. Stem - preferably for 25.4mm bars but not critical, around 100mm length. 600 Tricolour aero brake levers. Thanks.
