    Mixing shimano 10sp chainset with 9sp drivetrain?

    My Trek is equipped with 9sp Dura Ace 7700. Am looking to replace the chainset. Has anyone ever tried running a 10sp chainset (ultegra 6700) with a 9sp chain? Am I daft in thinking that the only issue will be a slightly thinner chainring?
