Has anyone heard of/been to see Sam The Wheel? Fascinating man, worked for Claud Butler in the 1940s, reckons he used to build 80 wheels before lunch and can rebuild my rear wheel in under 30 mins. A local legend by some accounts- will report back after my appointment at his house!

Has anyone ever attempted to strip down & repaint an old Kona splatter job? From what I can make out the paint between them is all pretty random and would be hard to replicate, so not sure whether to give it a go or just stick to one shade all over...which would lose a bit of its retro charm..
