Well I really enjoyed this event this year - especially Holdsworth( even if it is Planet X!) and Condor stands as well as a the smaller bicycle builders. Some interesting talks too.

Why would a Selbach have a large 'D' on the seat tube? I've looked and it seems too big to be pert of a B or R ( in Maurice Selbach)

i was wondering what other people thought of this event. It was filled with stunning bikes, designs and frames. It was great to see some frame builders detailing their work with great lug designs and references to pre 1970's. On the downside £15 entrance and perhaps a lack of anything...

Does anyone know what kind of brakes a 1930' Selbach road bike would have. Pictures Ive seen suggest quite basic looking single pivot caliper brakes....

What brakes would you put on an old Holdsworth? I've got most other parts for it but will need to get some brakes and am not sure what a Holdsworth of that period would have used ( or indeed, how to track them down!)

Just been informed by a well known cycle restorer that they are having problems getting the Tranfers for my bike because whoever has purchased the Holdsworth name has stopped Lloyds from reproducing and supplying them. We can get the W F Holdsworth decal but not the "cyclone deluxe" bit. Shame...

Just found this derailleur in my shed - looks brand new and is even in its box. No memory of where I got it ( old age!). Looks ok-ish quality. Does anyone know anything about it? I'm thinking it might look good on an old Carlton frame I've got.
