Pretty sure it was the 92 Summer Special as Orange were one of the first to get hold of the 93 model year kit? When they tested it they used a Clockwork and mentioned how early Orange had snagged it.

Hi all. Thinking about building up my orange/white Clockwork as a replica of the 1992 MBUK Summer Special (I think) competition prize so after some as good as possible M560 LX kit, the original run before silly gear windows appeared. I've got the wheels so what else is out there?

This is the only other neon Pine Mountain I've seen. If I ever get hold of one (in any colour) I'll be building a homage.

Mine is a bit more modest but I'd love to get my hands on one of these 89 Pine Mountains and to also know the history. They were run by the UK team and the article was in an 89 MBUK that was the very first one I bought. Why not the UK colour, why not use Team Marin frames and why then spec them...

The 89 video is exactly the sort of thing I remember watching on tv bitd. 2.1 tyres are too wide apparently, need to change them for 1.75!

That's ace! find it interesting to see the high front ends on the 87 bikes that were then abandoned for 25 years or more before we all realised it was the right idea all along!
