    1994 Muddy Fox Rock 'n' Roll CR-MO

Here's how the rear brake is set up: I've had plenty of experience with cams like these. I find they work best with simple brake levers, not SLR like the Shimano 737s or cammed designs like the Dia Compe PC series. That's why I've gone for Chicken Stixs on this bike.

    Kastle degree 9 0 FS

The rear brake rocker looks like same as my Rock n Roll. Except they're both setup different ways. I'll get a photo.

Mountain Cycle Moho but a bit different....

Fork could be Muddy Fox. Check the 1997 catalogue as they're featured there.

👋 New here: GT LTS 1996. Advice welcome!

Just on here is ideal :) Did you post a bottom bracket photo then delete it?? That looks like an unusual, but genuine number to me. I suspect it was US built like the Zaskars, as it isn't an Asian format number - it's also the first I've seen like that. @kingoffootball

Any love for the old Carrera’s here?

There's two versions of those frame - yours, 'faux-bar' and an otherwise identical Horst link version like this: The horst link ('FSR') version seems more common. Just an observation that I found interesting.

    1994 Muddy Fox Rock 'n' Roll CR-MO

Yes progress is happening, but I still haven't finished it which was the aim for the summer just gone. No photos since the one above, but the brakes are now cabled up, gear cables half done. The rear brake has a nice cam as part of the frame, I'll add some photos as that may help others in...

    1995-96 Norco Team Issue.

The frame number usually gives away the country of origin. They're distinctive enough that Asian numbers are pretty well organised and identifiable, whilst domestically built frames are more 'boutique'! I'm happy to check any numbers against my list, Norco are pretty thin on the ground but...

    Retro suspension recommendations...

True, but good luck finding a set for a reasonable price ... @Dr-Zocchi can certainly help with seals, crowns, steerers and other bits for pre-Bomber forks.

    Retro suspension recommendations...

Technically they're a bit new, not being released until 1997, another option that's a bit more period correct would be a Marzocchi XC700 or a DH3.

👋 New here: GT LTS 1996. Advice welcome!

For stopping power, V brakes. For your era LTS, should be cantilevers. The MBUK team were using Onza HO back in the day, you should definitely watch Getta Grip. Also, have you shared your frame number for the record?

2nd Merlin Prestige 1996 Build Thread

Would you share the frame number from this please? It may help to identify other Merlin frames from around the same time, many seem to have lost their stickers over the years.

    Clockwork or p7 help!!

I think that's a 1997 build Clockwork - @rwm1962 is one of the Orange experts. @kingbling has one very close in serial number to yours https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/join-the-orange-clockwork-club-show-your-bikes.127707/post-2690219

Unknown BMX frame, maybe Muddy Fox?

No they're in Taiwan - this one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Cycles

Unknown BMX frame, maybe Muddy Fox?

It's a 1995 from the frame number, which indicates the builder is Pacific who were a well known supplier for Muddy Fox - I've personally got a Pacific built Muddy Fox with a frame number on the head tube too.
