Great that you are passing on proper adventure biking to the younger generation. Went to the Malverns this year for the first time and was sad to see huge amounts if teenagers on 7k+ E-bikes. It was like an arms race..😞

Thanks...will start the restoration this winter, a few bits to change to bring it back to original but not much. The paintwork needs sympathetic restoration. Will start a thread when I get going

I've had success restoring my Spinergies and HED wheels using 2k clear lacquer. You do need to sand the surface first (600 to 800 grit), to get good adhesion. Not done any Pace fork legs but I imagine they were made with pre-preg epoxy so 2k should be OK

First proper ride on the Klunker at The Malverns Classic. Brakes are excellent. The saddle needs a shim as it keeps slipping and the freewheel slipped when out of the saddle on the XC climb. Ok after I got home from the York Show on Sunday and my wife saw how pumped I was about the weekend she said I should go to the Malverns on the Friday as long as I was home on the Thursday for GCSE results😁 So game on... do we have a Retrobike camping area like York or is it a bit more sporadic?
