    Good catch, but curious...is the whole post backwards or just the head? I think I remember the depth markings facing the rear, which is what I see here, but the head might be installed backwards on the post? If you take apart the seatpost head, it is easy to install it either way in the post...

    Uh, incorrect, it was not welded on. Hydraulic press was used to press it out from the bottom. But we had to carefully find the right diameter sacrificial tube to fit inside the steerer tube orifice from between the fork legs.
