If you look at this picture. https://www.flickr.com/photos/98377634@ ... otostream/ The way the seat stays overlap the top tube made me think it may be a MN. Many of his frames had this style. None of the Richards ones seem to have that style.

Can't get to the bike at the minute, but there is no MN, just a two digit number.

Apart from mine being a geared frame.

Things are looking better, the guy has checked the frame and now acknowledges that the frame is cracked, he has offered me a full refund :D

This is sounding worse by the minute !!! the guy had already contacted me to say he would post asap so i'll have to wait and see what his reply is.

I did not know it was cracked and the seller did not mention it ! i dont suppose you have any old pics of the crack by any chance ? I was aware that the paint was poor but thats not really a problem. I have contacted the seller (ebay) so will wait for his reply. I will keep you informed.
