    Twisted tubes, bike ID required

It seems like this bike has a new owner now: It has been featured in bikepacking.com: https://bikepacking.com/plog/bespoked-dresden-2025-attendee-bikes/

The titanium weld and detail appreciation thread.

I am not sure the French manufacturer Emery has been mentioned in this thread. They had a pretty special Ti frame in 93 I believe that was made in Taiwan and was 6Al-4V tubes throughout. That's pretty exceptional as 6Al-4V is much more difficult to work with than 3Al-2,5V. Personally, I have...

Bianchi NTH X32 dedacciai zero XT 97/98 - Northern Italy on Subito. bargain 150 Euros whole bike

A lot of Nth action lately. I hope an Italian member from here can snatch this as these are so rare. If that's the Genius Columbus model it's crazy cheap.

Fat City Cycles Yo Eddy fork Vs. BOI (Big One Inch):my forks

So here we go…Columbus Nivacrom is technically a CroMo but I noticed it doesn’t rust as easily because of its composition.

    For Sale Sunn Revolt

These frames are very light. Some of the lightest of the era I think.

Fat Chance Yo Eddy! Team Identification

First round of Yos came in 1990 I believe and were equipped with Suntour XC pro. You see that the details these early frames had were truly impressive. As the Yo model evolved it gained better tubing but the small details were just not there. I am talking about the internal head tube and BB...

Fat Chance Yo Eddy! Team Identification

This looks to be either a Large or XL Yo possibly from 1993 but certainly after 1991. Based on the decals on the seatube it looks to be made in Sommervile so before the move to Serotta's factory in 94 for sure. The issue here is that there can be quite a bit of rust within the seatube and...

Raleigh Special Products. 97 Custom. 853 steel, very red.

I think what's pretty special about this frame is that it has a 75 steep seat tube angle. I remember seeing this in one of the Raleigh catalogs. With the Reynolds tubing and the components you are gathering for it it will be a joy to ride I am sure.

Canadian Winter is on it's way.

This fact alone would qualify you for a nobel price in sustainable commuting / moving / living to my eyes. Don't think I have came across many a chap from North America without automobiles. Congratulations anyhow!

    (Not) Hope MTB

Hey @benjabbi do you recall if the headtube is 1 1/8 for this DBR or it has changed between years from 1 to 1 1/8? Thinking to buy one and looking to see what I have in stock to build it. Thanks in advance!

    Those rust holes...

There are specific products for this job. One of the most famous is called Frame Saver I believe. Then you have alternative sprays that will leave a wax coating inside the tubes. You just spray once and its good for a long time. Check out some YouTube videos that explain how to protect bike...

    6.5kg 1980's Paino Steel Roadie

Had the frame been TIG welded instead of lugged it will have been around 1600 grams I reckon. Still though it will not have been as beautiful. It combines old the new in a very nice way!

Build thread - Brodie Sovereign '95

I am not sure you guys are going to like this but I replaced the rear XTR cantis first with Ritchey and then with STX... 🫢 In the front, I really liked how the Avid Arch Rival 50s work. For me the biggest difference in break performance can be achieved by dialing in the combo of rims and pads...

Got them grom Gill at retrodecals so if you are based in UK that's your best option I would say. He should have in file the Catalyst ones too as he has an extensive archive of decals. BTW, yours looks so cool! What color are you going to paint it in?

Retro bikes you saw V 2.0

And most importantly it looks as if it is being used a lot, which is so cool with some of the retro bikes. This one, of course is no exception.

Parts That Weigh a Ton, But You Still Love 'em

Suntour XC Pro hubs: they are very heavy when compared to XTR. But they have the small grease guard openings, and this makes me forgive their weight.

Are you based in Germany by any chance? There show up there in the classifieds from time to time for quite reasonable prices sometimes.
