    DBR Vertex WCF?

:) I have one, it's a nice bike, well built and rides well. For some reason they fly under the radar though. Which is good in a way cos they're cheap. 👍 😁

    Interesting ebay store

Yeah, I've bought several things over the last few years, reasonably priced, postage is always quick. Good all round really. :)

    Feast your eyes!

Every time I see a Ribble I'm hit with a sudden urge to change the R to a W. The rear box thing, combined with a saddle with a pressure relief cut out, means you don't have to stop for a shit.

The Rockhopper has changed somewhat in 20years

They have changed a fair bit haven't they. I had a modern Rockhopper a few years back. I was looking for an alloy frame with more old school geometry and a 135 qr rear end. Ended up being cheaper to buy an entry level Rockhopper and bin all the parts than buy an equivalent frame. It was 1800g...

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Finally got this one where I want it, for the moment at least. 👍 😁 ESP 9.0 mech and shifters, Altek levers, got the inner ring spacers sorted, changed the fork to a 63mm travel 96 version which got rid of the canti stop. And finally a ti railed Bontrager saddle. 👍 😁

Nearly 13 years since the last post in this thread. Can't be far off a thread resurrection record! :)

    Teenage Budget Fork Dreams..

Rockshox Quadra 21R. They cost £280, which was (still is!) a lot of money for 16 year old me. They were yellow so could be mistaken for a £600 Judy at 300 yards. I was expecting motorcycle style suspension, that's not what I got. I think it was my first MTB purchase that was disappointing. Still...

    Silverfish 1996 Mantis Screaming V

Ooooh!! That's a bit special. 😍 Not that any of your others aren't but I'll look forward to seeing this come together. 👍 😁

    Best LBS in Britain

I think 'best' is subjective. People want different things. We don't stock anything bar a few consumables. Our average bike sale is well over £5k, all custom built. We don't touch the E part of E-bikes but will repair (at least try to) anything else. I'm in my element when something retro comes...

    Brings tears to your eyes

Err..... Joking. What way you run your brakes doesn't bother me one bit. There is no 'correct'. I'm highly unlikely to buy a Hardrock. Even in non Coco guise. :)

    Brings tears to your eyes

Never mind the clown aesthetics, it's in the UK and the brakes are set up the wrong way round. I was seriously contemplating it but that's killed it. :)
