Ok, thank you... that info would be helpful. I think I have a 1990 basing it off the stamping on the fork steerer tube. Attached are photos of the actual frame. *BUT, I recall now it is not an Apex but Ascent. It doesn't have the sloping top tube so I can't tell you if it is the EX model or not...

Ah, ok. I assume those EXAL SP19 are similar to the Sun Rhyno Lite. On the Spacycles site the tire width rating for the SP19 is 28-42mm, but for the LX17 the rating is 25-54mm despite being a narrower rim than the SP19. I think that should be the other way around.
