A genuine question about the dork disc?

Some sophisticated Italian dorkdom, perhaps Sir? https://www.ebay.com/itm/276226868548

    Mystery and Unidentified Parts

There really is hardly any difference, with Euclid and the early Centaur having the same cage etc. I said Centaur because of that cross-head screw which seems to have arrived with the Centaurs'

What's the late 90s steel frame of choice?

My 97 Breezer Jetstream is the nicest riding steel frame I've tried; supple and comfortable but with great handling. It feels both lively and very stable.

    Paul• it's a turd but it's got memories

That's a bold statement. They do work well though and are a masterpiece of intricate engineering. I can't honestly say mine works better than the Campag Record OR I regularly use, and many folk would say the Campag lags behind a Shimano or Suntour....?

I could do with that Avid tri-align lll brake!

    Paul• it's a turd but it's got memories

Because it's basically a copy of a primitive much earlier Suntour mech; no sprung top pivot, outdated geometry etc. Shimano had pretty much sussed the art/science of good shifting by the mid 80's and even Campag had caught on by the time the Paul was released. But personally I love them. An...

    For Sale Titanium Forks

They were originally purchased from the Breezer distributer in the mid 90s. Never determined manufacturer but assumed U.S. made. I did about 10 miles only on the road with these from new, so as Steve's never fitted them they've hardly been used. 😎

2008 Marin Pine Mountain ... the wabi sabi

Oh I like that, the proportions seem spot on. It looks like it'd be a blast to ride. You did a remarkably good job reclaiming the original finish, I wouldn't have thought it possible!
