    M780 XT triple rings

^ Thanks, hamster. Had browsed Spa but not a lot in 104 4 arm 10 speed. At only £13.65 the one referenced in OP probably best bet. Longevity not an issue - only a few '000 miles spread over a number of bikes about all that's left to me!

    M780 XT triple rings

^ Thanks. Certainly interested in middle, all 3 depending on price! Paid a modest 380 quid for complete, all original, vgc, bike, so don't want to go too OTT on spares. PM me? dave j

    M780 XT triple rings

Middle ring on my newly acquired 2012 BMC Trailfox carbon bouncer is worn. Replacement difficult to find - and expensive! Would a lesser quality fit/work acceptably for my tow path excursions: Shimano FC-T521 10 Speed Triple Middle Chainring, 32T-AE Black Expect and excuse forthcoming...

    2012? BMC Trailfox tf01

Simply for fun plus relief for my arthritic hands and fingers, my first ever carbon full bouncer (many years since had any full sus), what would have been a top of the pile I guess has joined my small fleet! Probably also good for my aging brain - have to learn about hydraulic brakes, disc...

    ** Show us your Modern/retro Kona **

I was going to buy a wet/winter "road" bike, but I prefer flat bars and V-brakes, so skinny tyres and full grds for the '97 Kileaua.

Whoever thought that that a good place to put a brake must have been on seriously strong gear. But the bike, yes even the top tube masquerading as a stem, is really quite pretty!

BoTM Bike of The Month April 2025 - The Vote

I was definitely with the minority with this one! But the Romax is lovely - good win.

    Three wheeler Jackson

^bikeworkshop: "You can take a milk crate to assist mounting, and then ride it home! Post up the video😃 Tricycle madness!" 20 years since I've ridden one, would take a lot of practice to become even vaguely competent again! Always amuses me when folk think a trike the answer to all balance etc...

    Three wheeler Jackson

If a 23" in any accepted "standard", then no. Could ride it but the standover would be very tight. Indeed, a step-through the ideal at my age. Unlike a 2-wheeler can't lay a trike on the ground to mount! Our oldest local CTC rider bought a trike for balance etc but with a horizontal top tube...

    Three wheeler Jackson

An inch and half smaller and I'd be figuring out how to get this home.... https://www.facebook.com/share/1Byt6WuiDq/

For Sale 1998 Kona Explosif 18” - Catalogue Spec

If only "SO" were nearer! I think the front hub is correct. I have components off a '98 Explosif on my '97 Kileaua and it (and the skewer) is the same.

Surely on the small side for you mate? Looks a proper bike!

    George Longstaff

How nice! I'm going to need electric quite soon - the sheer class of a Longstaff would ameliorate the slight embarrassment!

BoTM Bike of The Month March 2025 - time to vote

Some lovely bikes. Worthy winner - it was my 2nd choice, but I can't resist early DBs!

    Cockpit views

Not aesthetically pleasing, but swept back and high 'bars so much easier on the wrists and arthritic fingers.

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

That is a lovely example of a lovely bike! If it is to remain so, then yes 'grds or very dry weather use only!

That's as good a letter, as unequivocal, as one can receive. Excellent!
