As above really. The only alarm bell I can see from the picture is why is there a seat post clamp bolted on below the seat post qr. Is it hiding a cracked seat tube?

Here are some pics. First set is mint, can't see any signs of use. New cleats and shoe shields. Second set is used, some minor scuffs but really nothing, used cleats but look barely touched. Both have super smooth bearings with no play and no marks to spindles at all.

Someone may have to explain this channel. There's still a significant part of the cup the same size as it was that needs pressing into a known fragile head tube. I figure the top and bottom of the head tube won't have the cup pressing against it once fitted, I'd that the fix for the problem...

In my experience, everything xc pro was awesome kit. Dare I say better than any Shimano equivalent. The only issue was the rear hub and cassette due to the proprietary fitting. That said, it lasts so if you did break out the expensive cassette you bought, it will probably outlast the bike...
