Raleigh Dyna Tech appreciation and information thread

...use in city traffic. Over the years, I've kept double sided pedals on it for that reason. I had some strong, reliable wheels built for it by Rotrax Cycles in Southampton as broke the front rim and I was also riding the bike for longer rides on weekends. Original wheels were silver 32H Mavics...

    1950 Rotrax Super Course

Re: Fine colour choice my friend. I have too many frames at the mo but a Rotrax Super Course would be my choice for a 'too many+1' scenario.

Pete Luxton Frame or Bike wanted

Ta, might end up PM'ing you about that at some point! I'm probably going to stash this one in the loft for a bit as I have a Rotrax and Ken Ryall in the queue to build first and need to ponder if/how to paint. I did have a bit of a an eye out for a Westland but nothing has been forthcoming...

    Stronglight fork crown race

Re: Hi , yes it’s a 1950’s Headset and I’d like to put it my Rotrax build . I have some unbranded races in my spares box which I have tried but the bearings don’t quite sit right inside the cups , so I’d better keep to the stronglight if poss . There are some for sale on eBay but though I’d...

Re: Rotrax 'Concours' - 1959 - Road / Track Small reduction - £50 off. I'd be more than happy and interested to take comments on price... Have I grossly over estimated value? Or it needs a rather specific collector? Wrong era for here? Or have to go to eBay? (Although don't fancy the perils...

Re: I'd love it to be a rotrax. I have hankered for one for a while. I live in Southampton and remember the shop well. Real old fashioned shop to the day it shut. Bare wooden floors and dark wood cabinets wall to wall, frames and wheels hanging from the ceiling.

Re: Rotrax 'Concours' - 1959 - Road / Track Many thanks Geoffrey. Appreciate the kind words on the restoration. And especially thanks for the advice on value, good to receive words from someone who is a "total Rotrax nut". It unfortunately only takes a few such words from a likeminded fellow...
