Hi all, I'm now reducing this to £225 and if it doesn't sell I'm going to keep hold of it as I do have an attachment to the Saracen/Evans frame. Any takers? Cheers Simon

I'm selling my 1985 FW Evans Conquest made by Saracen - this is quite a rare frame It has all the original Shimano Deerhead parts - derailleurs, Biopace crankset, thumbies, canties, even the original Shimano pedals. The rims are the original Rigida. It's been in the attic for a few years so...

This is a 1985 Saracen with Reynolds 531 lugged frame and forks hand made in the UK, with its original paintwork. It has the original Nitto bars and stem, Shimano Deerhead thumbshifters, derailleurs, crankset, hubs, Rigida rims, Brooks saddle, Shimano pedals, and new Charge skinwall tyres. £275...

I'll double check with my dad but I think these frames were Taiwanese made, definitely powder coated in Birmingham and then assembled in Leamington Spa before moving to Warwick shortly after. Yes in Brighton too, got seven Saracen Conquests here... Let's catch up!

As some of you know from this thread, my dad and uncle used to own Saracen cycles and as a result I've always had a passion for the early UK mountain bikes, and have six mid 80s Saracen Conquests... Because of this, and the early inspiration from the Cranes' trip up Kilimanjaro and hearing them...
