Scott G-Zero broken swing arm link

Got the bike back, fully welded. It's not pretty, but it's had a larger shim put between the arm and the pivot, the break was welded and some reinforcing welds put it. The pivot had a new set of bearings. The old bearing were shot, so we think that may have been instrumental in the swing arm...

Scott G-Zero broken swing arm link

Well, for anyone interested (probably not many, I feel sure) we managed to get the pivot knocked out using a mallet and a punch. Some of bearings inside were shot, but replacements have been found. Now just have to keep fingers crossed that it can be welded.

No, me neither. Ok, thanks. I'll give it a go.

Scott G-Zero broken swing arm link

Possibly. It looks like the pivot which I'm guessing goes through the frame is maybe tapered and knocks out with a tap from one direction, but I don't want to start knocking it about if that's not the case. The sleeve that should go between the collar and the pivot is missing, but I can get a...

Thanks for the replies. At the moment, not even sure how to get the swing arm off. Anyone with any experience?

    '99 Specialized FSR Ground Control

I've seen a couple of these in white. It looks fantastic, especially with Spesh stickers on rather than the 661 stickers.

Scott G-Zero broken swing arm link

Hi Not been on here a while, so apologies for the "out of the blue" question. A short while ago I bought a Scott G-Zero to keep me riding while I decided what to do with my FSR. Unfortunately after 3 months riding this happened - At the time (last September) I just pushed it to...

    scott g-zero team finished

No problem I'm enjoying riding this bike. It seems a little more twitchy than my FSR, but is pretty light, so feels fast.

    Scott G-Zero Seat post

Hi I have a 1999/2000 Scott G-Zero FX Team, which I recently bought off a mate, as my FSR is in need of some TLC. The seat post that came with the bike is a bit tatty so I need a new one. I've searched the internet, high and low, but can't find the diameter of the post (why are there...

    scott g-zero team finished

Nice spray job. I've just bought a G-Zero FX Team from a mate, whilst I consider my options on my FSR. It still has the original colours, so is a bit dated. It rides nice though. Very light bike. Lucky for me he upgraded the bike with Hope discs and a tasty set of carbon bars. Looks like...

That looks truly stunning. I have decided to put on hold getting mine back up and running. It's going to cost me around 300 quid to get it all working properly, plus the fox shock i bought didn't fit. My brother has made me a spring retaining disc out of stainless steel which hopefully will...

TBH I wouldn't have a clue. Just curious to know how much they go for.

Looks like a keeper too. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? As you say, there is a lot of room from the saddle to the bars. Definitely worth a look at a straight post. You could always move the saddle on the rails, I guess.

Yep, I was surprised how good the main part felt. There's no play in there at all.

That does look good. Got the rear shock off the bike tonight ready to receive the new one. As you can see (probably) the spring retaining disc at the bottom of the shock has failed and is now out of shape. The spring was being retained by the bushings. There is a little bit of damage...

Thanks for the offer. I have just bought a fox vanilla shock off of carge. If I have any problems with co¤patibility, I might take you up on your offer. Have to say, this really is a great website. I honestly thought my bike was pretty much written off, but now it looks like it will be going...
