thanks Mick, not sure on the years yet of mine,think the escaper is 92 and the stone breaker is 93 but if someone can confirm that or tell me how to then I can update but for now I'll just assume its true what owners have said, theyve no reason to lie really on this sort of thing

Thanks for that reply, I'm trying to find out about originality of mine, cant find an escaper brochure anywhere My shifters are diff from original then? I dunno how to tell, tbh the bike rides great, its also very quick too without hardly an any effort, I can launch it off the mark to 30mph...

not sure how he did it to be honest, it came like this, there is no other damage on the bike at all, no dints,scrapes or anything to suggest a bad fall or accident. I emailed Selle italia last night and they have said that I can't get a new rail to repair it as it was discontinued in 1997...

for the time being Ive fitted it to the seat post with the snap half way in the seatpost clamp, seems to of kept it solid and stable but would prefer it to be fixed obviously
