Re: I know little about it tbh, I'm fairly local and know the lad organizing the event is from Eastnor so I dare say he has picked/ been given this date due to availability and costs. Track conditions will hardly be like 2012 mm due to a much lower entry and sensible course lay out.

Re: That's probably not a bad combination you will get a good climbing gear and won't spin out on the flat which you might if you went 30 chainring and 11-36 cassette.

Re: You should be ok, if you do have a problem dropping the chain you will have to go with a clutch mech and a narrow wide chain ring.

Re: Went and tried then bought the Norco. It's a great bike for a cheapy, forks and brakes are trash for my 16 stone but rides fast and light so I'm well happy :D

I went out to fit my trusty oversize Thomson stem to my new bike only to realise that 31.8 has now been super over sized by 35mm. When did that happen? :facepalm:

Re: How tall are you and what size did you go for? My local Evans is Cheltenham, seem OK to deal with although the sales man didn't know the plastic cap on the seat tube was for a stealth dropper!

Re: Yes, a couple of my riding buddies have said about the signs, we normally ride from Hollybush over to the British camp and back, doing the steep stuff off midsummer hill etc. We rarely go west across the hills towards the Worcester beacon as we don't want to annoy anyone.
