You could take out the self extractors and bolts and hand fit the BB to the arms. It may just work but you'll find out if it doesn't. I may case the BB would not slot into the arm splines at all.

I had a similar issue once, though I think I've also had success with the same combo later. It was a strange one as the v1 splines should with any v1 crank.

Thanks, I did fiddle with the grub screw and it did seem to help. The bike isn't fully built yet so I'm just using my hands, not cabled up at this point. Hopefully next weekend will allow some cabling.

You could buy a set of wheels and simply swap the end caps over, assuming the hubs allow. You can also get a kind of universal adapter which is simply a qr axle that fits all the way through the existing bolt through axle. I'm sure there are many hub options out there, hope and Mavic are 2...
