Thanks, I did fiddle with the grub screw and it did seem to help. The bike isn't fully built yet so I'm just using my hands, not cabled up at this point. Hopefully next weekend will allow some cabling.

You could buy a set of wheels and simply swap the end caps over, assuming the hubs allow. You can also get a kind of universal adapter which is simply a qr axle that fits all the way through the existing bolt through axle. I'm sure there are many hub options out there, hope and Mavic are 2...

That's my old frame ;). Kind of regret selling it tbh. If the one in your pics (eBay) is one then there will be a verlicchi or v stamp somewhere on the frame if it's anything like my old one.

When I saw this I thought it may be a Rudy project/verlicchi frame. Had one once in the purple. I don't think it is as the cable stops and canti mount are different to what I remember but you never know. Iirc it required a 1 1/4 fork.

I had a similar challenge recently and another one but for non-boost. The qr hubbed wheels challenge was solved through a purchase of a cheap-ish wheel to close match the one I had. It wasn't for a top end bike but qr hubbed 27.5 wheels seem to be harder to find if you want a half decent set...

Thanks, not looking to run 12sp, things are thin enough with 11sp imo, never saw the need for a lot of this modern drive train change. Bin lid cassettes and tiny front rings. 1x drive trains seem to cost more then 2 or 3x and there's less of it. Go figure? I digress, I'll give the kmc a look...

I think the post size can vary based on year of frame. 26.8 was a common GT post size in the 90s, my RTS all use that size. 27.0 was also used iirc. I'm sure some zaskar experts will be along shortly with more definitive help.
