    And take modernisation nicely 😉

    Sprint rim brand

It's not an uncommon name I don't think it would have anything to do with stickers on super champion sprints in Europe.

    Sprint rim brand

I'm worried this is turning into "Rim Nerds' Corner"🤔
  5. bikeworkshop

    Sprint rim brand

I did wonder why superchamps often said Wolber, but often didn't, even though the label design was almost identical👍

    Sprint rim brand

It's very likely. when smallish uk builders offered complete bikes, some components got custom stickers. But many manufacturers themselves also did it. The world champ sticker over the join I've seen before - even that gold sans-serif performance label seems familiar.

    Sprint rim brand

They were everywhere. I bet @Guinessisgoodforyou has a few dozen pairs on bikes, and a shed in the garden whose door no longer closes fully due to the quantity of Wobbly SuperCs on small- flange Normandy hubbed wheels 🤔
  8. bikeworkshop

    Sprint rim brand

I've spent decades looking at and repairing bicycle wheels. This happens - you see a component and your brain does a "Google lens" @Nob 's brain probably does too As long as its 70s TT kit😉

Folders! Foldable bicycles, minivelos and demontables

Kit looks mostly original Frame, geometrically interesting, but gaspipe gauge.

    Mystery bike. Trying to identify.

I'd put one in my museum of "How consumerism corrupted the bicycle industry" The interesting thing is it must've taken more effort (hence real cost) to make than the Hardrock, and yet would have been cheaper to buy. A classic example of Chinese product dumping that got legislated against, and...

    Mystery bike. Trying to identify.

There was a fashion for complex dh- style bikes in the late 90s by catalogue brands, some ran into the 2000s. You'll often find the same frame with a variety of stickers on. It's kind of fun and historic, but need a strong dash of irony👍

Some Retrobikes passing through Bikeworkshop in Bristol

I will ask him - I'm not sure he was unleashed on the front counter often though - the workshop was through the door at the back in those days, the mechanics and sales staff were different iirc

Vitus 979 - replacing internally routed rear brake cable

About £15 to post to usa. No probs if you need it. You might find because it's French the only 25.0 posts came in to the country were already fitted into bikes. Tarrifs iirc😉 Canada might be different?

    Dated my litespeed!

More impetus to reanimate the Mektronic. When it will be truly hypnotic. It would be leant up in the shop people would just stand there looking gawping, saying "Really? I dont believe it!"

Some Retrobikes passing through Bikeworkshop in Bristol

"Bike" was the bristol dealer, and the frame has their sticker on it. Andy and his fellow setup mechanics put the stickers in subtly different locations on the frame, to identify their own work. 👌

Some Retrobikes passing through Bikeworkshop in Bristol

Another marin - they have survived well Interestingly this was set up and sold new by my colleague Andy when he worked at the now- defunct "Bike Bristol" c1994? Sold twice by us since 2000😃 In the back there, surely the final pair of those cantis with the grey spring retainers? Looks like the...
