    Just removed from my bike because I treated myself to some RC31's :) 212mm steerer Serviced circa 2-3 years ago and then the bike was laid up for about 18 months so you may wanna get them serviced but they seemed absolutely fine to me. Since then the've had no offroad use hence the decision...

    Thanks for the extensive reply. I had a look at merlin cycles... they are pretty good aren't they :) Think I'm gonna see how it pans out with the others first (ebay) and see if I can get a bargain. Think I should really check what my rear hub is in the daylight. I know it's xt of some variety...

    I thought the T-780 was more touring focused whereas the 775 was more Mountain focused?

    Thanks for the replys guys. That was also my logic..go with future proofing the bike. I've only just discovered that you can actually get rear disc adaptors for frames so might even look into that at a later date. Gonna try and find out if either of those hubs are cartridge bearings or not now...
