    1998 Orange P7 Tourer/ATB

Did your C17 have the 'nut cut-out' in it? My C17 with the aforementioned is the comfiest saddle I've ever had - touring on it has been ace. Otherwise neat-looking P7

    1993 Merlin Titanium

Yes, to be fair it can. I'd want it ready to rock and roll and look sweet-as for that amount of wedge!

    1993 Merlin Titanium

I sincerely hope it's nobody on RB who owns this - it's the devil's work - canti rear stop with V-brakes! And, a stem clumpier than that Russian woman's shoes in that Bond movie when she clicks her heels and the spike comes out the front. (I guess I don't like a Thompson). (Do not, do not...

    Saracen Trekker with nice forks

Fricking ouch! Saw a guy jump a red light once. Straight into side front wing of a car that was entitled to pull out. Nuts and pubis smashed - I bet his forks could have looked like that if I'd been able see through my tears of mirth

    Orange P7

Bargain - looks like it's got measles though poor thing! Once the rusts's gone some sort of car wax could help keep the rust at bay? It'd turn my head in the street - P7 with F7 forks - coool

Best of the pre V Brake Cantis... a thread that may of been done to to death

Agreed - a well set up canti set-up is excellent. I've not done much off-roading, but canti's are surely 'enough'? They need fettling as the pads wear but this is only more tiresome on a commuter with heavier use - this is Retrobike - (quite) a lot of the talk is about bikes that get much less...

    Raleigh Gemini Trail XC

I'm 98.542% sure I spaced-down an XT rear hub to 130mm to fit her indoors' Gemini - it was a number of years ago, but pretty sure.

    Raleigh Gemini Trail XC

Erm, I hope that's not a euphemism, but yes! Same colourscheme - £25 as F&F maybe 12 years ago off ebay. Built it up, tis a really nice frame that she's enjoyed on shortish tours and as a 'Sunday' bike to do a few miles to a country pub. I intermittently remember to search for a big Gemini in...

    Raleigh Gemini Trail XC

Bright 'camo' bar tape. Better, silver cantis like DX. The stem's a lump so something similar, but lighter. For me it'd be done apart from maybe new tyres which'd be a tough choice. Or pass it on - to me :D The now wife's example in the she shed started as a bare F&F. It accepted lots of...
