2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 - Repair and Restomod

That is the correct hose type for this brake. 👍 If you really want to keep those brakes it still might be worth to take apart the lever assemblies. Not to change the seals but to clean everything thoroughly and apply fresh lubricants. Concerning caliper alignment you should check whether the...

    2013 Genesis Fortitude Singlespeed

The frame has been modified. But not to the extent I would have wished. The chainstays are too far apart to accept the Pinion bridge. It still might be possible to adapt the bridge to contact the chainstays but the level of bodgery required to pull this off did not make me feel comfortable. So...

2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 - Repair and Restomod

To be sure: while being stationary, did you pull the brake lever hard and kept applying that high pressure for a prolonged period i.e. 10 secondsor more? Spongy lever feel may also come from a misaligned caliper. If the fluid is fresh, the alignment perfect and the seals in good condition it...

2005 Trek Top Fuel 110 - Repair and Restomod

Worn master cylinder seals will not show external leaks. The hydraulic fluid will simply flow around them inside the lever. What bleeding procedure are you using? Did you at any point replace the brake fluid entirely?

Applying pressure to your lever, does it slowly move to the grip over 10 seconds or so? If so it is very likely that your master cylinder seals need replacing. I did this myself not too long ago on similar Shimano levers. Those seals are available seperately on eBay under ‚Risk Replacement...

    1993 Brodie Catalyst

Went on a family ride to a nearby city with some friends. 5 kids, 5 adults, 54km in total. I pulled my 5yo along with the tow-rope for most of it, but still impressive. My 8yo pulled through on her own. One of the other dads bikes‘ formed a nice contrast to the Catalyst. All of the...

    GT Zaskar Pro 2006

In 2006/2007 I bought a Zaskar Team frame and had it built with spare parts from the LBS. My first ‚proper’ mountainbike to go racing with. Fond memories indeed.

    My hardtail journey

I have to agree. As for FS I‘ve had a Mondraker Foxy, TR Scout and a Production Privee Shan No5. The TR Spur is the first FS that I want to keep. For summer holiday I pulled the TR TransAm out from storage. Such a fun bike!
