Jacques Tati in Jour de Fete. Tati shot the original in 1949 in two versions, one black and white the other in colour. Unfortunately the colour process was not up to mustard and had to be abandoned. The theatrical release was instead the black and white version.
A completely restored and digitalyl graded colour version is now available to buy, but to be honest I much prefer the original mono print.
