That would be about right - this one was auctioned in 87 according to the MoD release papers, it's been stood in a shed ever since!
Interestingly the auctions for all these were about a mile from where I now live and the same place I bought my first one from in 1987.
Someone filled the engine with oil - maybe to protect it - drained it today and made a start on cleaning it up, probably take a good while but it's basically sound.

I just found this in one of my storage containers. It’s the same guy as above but 57 years earlier. I cropped out the license plate, but it was a 1968 plate. I was on leave from the Army. My buddy who had the same model and year Triumph took the picture. Right after he took the photo I drove it to the local Air Force Base (now abandoned) to the Post Exchange to buy him cartons of cigarettes. He was the passenger as he couldn’t have access without an ID. Cigarettes were 18 cents a pack.

Had this Ducati 749BP from new (2003) currently in storage and will need recommissioning. Has had many upgrades and changes over the years including BST Carbon Wheels, Ohlins front & rear suspension, various exhausts including Termignoni, Leo Vinci & Zard and lots of Ducati Performance parts. Should have just bought an R in the first place. Mostly back to standard but have a few bits left.

Used to own this clear bodywork as well, ended up selling it to someone in the far east.
