Hi, Sorry if this is disappointing, but it's very much an entry level bike and not really worth spending a lot of time or money on 'restoring' it. It's never going to be financially valuable. However, it is worth making sure that it rides and stops safely, and that everything works as it should: it would make a perfectly decent steed for someone to ride to college, university, the shops or whatever. If it all works as it should, it could have a use value for someone but, financially, I think it would struggle to fetch more than £50.

Absolutely the best thing to do. It has very little value in money but i am sure there is a kiddie out there who will love it to bits and that is worth alot.
