I believe its probably an old priory, "knocked about a bit" post Reformation.
Leiston Abbey fits the bill.

I have come across a few of these in the past week or so that I have been touring Norfolk and Suffolk and yes partly demolished in the reformation
I can also confirm that a Sturmey Archer 3 speed is all you need around here.

Welcome to my part of the world. " Very flat, Norfolk" according to Noel Coward. He'd obviously not seen the Cromer - Holt Ridge. OK, it's not much I know but can be a bit steep. And try Gas Hill in Norwich
I climbed it once - as a young teenager. There's an annual event " The Gas Hill Gasp". It defeats many a " keen " biker.
I showed it to @Gigfy a year or two ago. He shat himself. I know that's an exaggeration Bob. Sorry mate.
