How much is my road bike (or parts of) worth?

Got offered a Fuquay Road / Gravel bike today - not really my thing and no idea of value. Guy is an ex bike shop employee who I picked up a couple bits from, Alu Frame and random parts, any suggestions (prob not for me to be fair)
Looks like a proper cyclocross frame - top routed cables and no bosses for water bottles, bottom bracket looks high. Gear shifter from a flat barred bike and looks to be thrown on to make it function with gears. No bar ends suggests bar end shifters were there before. Its potentially a cheap way into cross but if you want to do anything beyond that its compromised. I would pay no more than £100.

Likely its a legit Fuquay, he built plenty of cross and TIG's aluminium later on, no reason to fake a Fuquay too I shouldn't think! There was a bike shop somewhere near where he lived that at one point had quite a few Fuquay bits, I think he built frames for a local team? Can't remember where that was though! Anyway, £100 would be a good buy IMHO, probably worth more to the one specific person who wants a a Fuquay cross frame and that fits!

I've had this 1997 Trek 8200 for almost 25 years. It's been sitting in the barn for more than a decade and I need to do something with it. It's been upgraded over the years with more modern drivetrain and wheels. If it was a MTB I'd know what it was worth, but I have no idea how to price a vintage road bike. Thanks for any insight you can offer!

There's not much interest in oldish carbon - people love to tell stories of sudden catastrophic failure.

Mostly apocryphal, but with the glut of 21st century rim brake racers, it makes any sale at all an achievement.

It ought to be worth £400, cheaper than a basic new bike! but you might find 250 gets it moving.
I'd be fascinated to see what it reached at auction.

These are a nice smooth strong bike taking standard components, unlike many later models.

I picked up this recently as I loved the look of it. Too big for me though. Guess early 2000’s with 105 but can’t seem to find much info on it especially in this colour.. Ally frame with carbon forks/seatpost. The forks and seatpost have clear inserts in them. Does anyone know anything about them and what kind of value either complete or parts please? Many thanks.

The inserts are called "zerts"
They are elastomers "designed" to put a little damping into the harsh, buzzy ride, initially of carbon.

In reality, it turns out carbon was no harsher or buzzier than aluminium - but Spesh were responding to a perceived need of the market - offering a product designed to get column inches and slip easily out of the mouths of Concept Store sales staff🙄

The product itself almost certainly did nothing.
You'd certainly not notice a difference with a similar weight/design/purpose fork

- i remember a couple of customers pulled them out and claimed it made no difference at all, apart from saving weight😂
