Norwegian" Intense M1 Shaun Palmer Tribute bike "NOT the USA Flag bike" :)

Really enjoying your passion for this project 👍
Palmers arrival on the scene was definitely an influential one, and the speed at which his clothing/appearance style spread through the downhill riders was crazy. Not something that I could pull off, but many went for it!:D

Also loving that r/c collection you've got there 😎

Thank you so much for kind words mate 😊
Yes i agree totally. he was for sure a pioneer in many ways.I really love his total style and skills, and approach to the whole thing.
Oh so the Tamiyas was spotted ..hehe . Thank you again, yes im a total rc nerd aswell, especially 80s and 90s Tamiyas. I have a little collection, trying to focus the collection to which cars i had as a kid ,but also some of the cars that was on the Must have list from back in the day, ,mainly cars that was far out of reach pricewise 🤩

Great progress, great attention to detail. Dare I ask...will you ride it at some point?
hey mate.Thank you soo much for kind words. Much apreaciated :) yeah it is getting there...to be fair i am almost trying to drag it out as much as possible,,just to keep the build process as long and tedious as possible....so maybe that is why i ended up wanting to make the build as CLOSE to the original as possible...so i could extend the build period..because of the hunt for the rare parts."laughs" :) One of those parts is the Intense brake booster..thats would be a difficult one.I know they are out there..but super rare. Loving my Magura cnc booster though..looks amazing i think ,and a perfect alternative to the Intense one :)
And yes..i do plan to use it...but to be fair..it wont be more than just " cruising along nicely" kinda thing.Maybe a run on a selected dh course with not much risk of screwing up the bike..or me for that matter.haha. So the plan is at least to set the bike up so it actually can be used for some light dh"ing. :)but it is to be seen as a " show bike" to be fair :)

Finally a little ,but great update on my Intense m1 Shaun Palmer tribute build 🤩
Earlier on ,i was able to source Near mint condition SDG ventura ti saddle. Unfortunately, it was yellow, but as they are rare,it was a welcomed find and buy.
I was debating painting it red,as the saddle has to be red to match Shauns bike.
But i never felt comfortable painting it,so i went on hunting for a red one.
So ,,by coinsidense,,a friend of mine found an old for sale ad,on the "craigs list"/classifieds here in norway,,,showing a kona fs bike ,with a red SDG ventura saddle on it. The ad was a year old, but i sent the seller a message eitherway, and behold, he still had the bike. And the price, Well,,it was a fraction of the price of a saddle alone would usually cost on ebay.
So i got a nice kons fs bike, and the correct saddle for my build ,for 100 pounds.
Win win 🤩

Also found in my spares bin ,a control tech seatpost,,in the incorrect size, but funnily enough,my intense m1 frame came with a spacer insert for that particular size seatpost . So thats fitted alongside some new controltech decals from the uk 🤩
Here are some pictures
Awesome to get this bike as a bonus🤩
